Q - What is the best method for applying masking fluid without ruining my brushes?
A - The best method is not to use your regular art brushes to apply masking fluid. Most masking fluid will dry fairly quickly leaving a rubber residue on your brushes making them unusable. Brush cleaning solutions can be used but often it can be too late before the brushes are damaged. An excellent alternative is to use cheap kids brushes, usually thin pencil like brushes with short nylon tips are the way to go. They are easy to find and are inexpensive enough to be thrown away after a few uses.
