Q - What is scrumbling?
A - Scrumbling is a technique in painting where a limited amount of paint on the brush is pushed or rubbed against the canvas allowing for some of the background or existing paint to show through. Scrumbling is done as a textural or as a blending effect to add interest to the painting.
