A - The most widely used resist is a liquid latex resist sold in art stores that is applied to the paper before painting. Resist is used to save the white areas of paper. Other forms of resist include the use of white crayon or even white colored wax pencil. Removable painters tape can be used as a resist for larger areas as well. Rubber cement glue can also be used as a resist for more random effects. Wax can be used as a resist as well or even objects placed on the paper could be used.
