Q - What color art frame is best?
A - A simple guide is to stick with black or white art frames for most art or photos. Bright or light-colored images go with a black frame. Art with a lot of darks go with a white frame for best contrast. If you wish to use a specific colored frame there are two basic ways to go. The first choice is to use a color close to each other on the color wheel - analogous colors or simply colors similar in tone. Another method is to use complementary colors or colors opposite on the color wheel for a more dramatic contrast.
