Q - What are layers in digital art?
A - Layers in digital art are added pallets or layers added to an existing layer which allows for artwork to be added without having to modify the original layer. Layering give the artist more flexibility in added art without risking errors in the original or basic layer. Layering can also be used to add effects such as faded images or highlights or shadows and gives the artist more control over values that would be difficult to change otherwise. Layering also can create different versions of the original artwork if desired..
