Fortunately, many travel watercolor sets are available for just such a purpose. Usually, these are compact sets with pretty much everything you will need to create a useful sketch of your subject. Water brush pens will keep things neat and most of these sets proved an eisel to hold your paper. The quality of these sets, usually of pan type variety is good and everything you need can be stored away in a small enclosed set. A small pad of watercolor paper will be needed and a small round brush can be added as well.
