Q - What is oil paint?
A - Oil paint is made up of colored pigments and an oil based binder. It is a slow drying paint that is largely opaque in quality. The richness of color and variation of opaqueness makes it one of the most popular mediums used by artists to create art with. Oil paint can be thinned by adding a solvent such as turpentine to increase viscosity and some transparency.
