Today's Art Q and A
Q - What is watercolor?
A - Watercolor is a transparent, water soluble paint made from various colored pigments. The pigments are combined with a binder to make the pigments usable for painting. For the most part, pigments used in watercolor are the same as oil and acrylic paints only the binder differentiates the paint types. Quality watercolors differ from their cheaper counterparts by the amount of pigment and the quality of the binder to create a more brilliant and luminous paint.
