Q - What is glazing?
A - Glazing is a technique used in many mediums including watercolor or acrylics where a transparent wash of paint is applied and allowed to dry. It is used to highlight certain colors and to add brilliance to a painting. Glazing can also be used to build up color over a given area creating deep layers of color.
