Q - What is the best method for stretching watercolor paper?
A - An easy method for stretching watercolor paper is to simply tape down your paper with painters tape, apply water with a mop brush to the surface and allow to dry. Wetting both sides in my experience seems to soften the texture of the paper too much even after long dry times. Stretching the paper can be avoided altogether by using 300 lb watercolor paper.
