Q - What film is the first "talkie"?
A - The U.S. 1927 release "The Jazz Singer" starring Al Jolson in a musical drama was the first talkie feature. The film featured synchronized sound through the use of Vitaphone, an analog sound on disc system which was later replaced by sound on film technology.
