What was the first film noir movie?

Today's Q and A

Q - What was the first film noir movie?

A -  The closest example of early film noir would be the Universal horror film "The Invisible Man"released in 1933.  However, many film noir movies are evident in the many gangster, dramas and suspense films that were common to that early era of film making. "The Maltese Falcon" starring Humphrey Bogart is recognized as one of the most obvious examples of early film noir.
