Today's Q and A
Q - What is a B movie?
A -The phrase "B movie" was associated with second bill movies usually a companion to a main feature in movie houses during the 1950s. Typically, B movies were low budget films and less publized science fiction, horror, westerns, exploitation and the like. B movies lasted well into the 1970s in movie theaters until the rise of multiplex theaters of the 1980s. Ironically, many of the early B movies have had greater popularity with fans over the years outlasting their A movie counterparts.
