Q - What is value in art?
A - Value in art is the degree of light to darkness in a shade or a color. It can also be applied to other aspects of art such as proportion or perspective, More specifically, it is an indicator of the change of an aspect of contrast of elements in an artwork. Greater value in art usually translates to a more interesting and engaging work as oppose to artwork with diminished value change tends to be much less interesting.
Can you spot all the value changes in this painting?
