A - Actor Reginald Owen played the Scooge character in the 1938 film adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1843 story "A Christmas Carol". Reginald starred in many MGM films, and was also known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, as well as appearing in numerous Disney films including "Mary Poppins".
