Q - Who wrote the classic Christmas carol "Silent Night"?
A - "Silent Night" was written by choir master Franz Gruber in 1818 with lyrics by Joseph Mohr a young priest. The carol was first performed with guitar accompaniment by Mohr on Christmas Eve at St Nicolas Church in Oberndorf, Austria.
