Q - When was the first Barbi doll made?
A - The first Barbi doll made her appearance at the American International Toy Fair on March 9, 1959 in New York City. It was envisioned by Ruth Handler who suggested the idea to husband Elliot Handler a co founder of the Mattel toy company.
