Q - Is it alright to use a ruler in drawing lines in a painting?
A - Generally I like to hand draw most lines in painting as it always looks more artistic and natural. But there can be exceptions to using a ruler and it depends on the subject you are drawing. The use of a ruler does tend to make your drawing look tighter overall. The use of a ruler is mostly a subjective choice in your artworks.
