Q - What is the best way to sharpen colored pencils?
A - Colored pencils can be a problem to sharpen as their core is somewhat more vulnerable to breakage than graphite pencils. Electric pencil sharpeners can sometimes be to rough on colored pencils and the pencil wax can gum up the shaver as well. Usually, I have found a small, metal, manual pencil sharper works well and provides better control in sharpening.
