A - A good choice would be cold press 300 lb cotton watercolor paper. With a better quality paper pigments look brighter and lines and hard edges look sharper in your painting. If your on a budget 140 lb cotton paper is next best. For quick sketches and practice 140 lb pulp watercolor paper will work to get you by.
