Q - What is an easy way to paint clouds?
A - An easy method for creating clouds in water based paints is by applying paint to paper or canvas and with a paper towel lift or remove some of the paint to create the illusion of a cloud. Creating several clouds and connecting them together works best. Varying the size and shape of the clouds is somewhat helpful as well.
The example below was simple enough, a mix of ultramarine blue and violet was added for the sky. The clouds were lifted while the paint was still wet The horizon line was cut with into the blue to allow some of the clouds to appear to be below the horizon.
