Q - How do you create pastel colors in painting?
A - In most paints, an easy method to create pastel colors is mixing some white paint into your choice of a specific color to lighten the color into a pastel-like shade. In water-based paints such as acrylic or watercolor adding water to a certain color can give a somewhat pastel-like effect as well.
