Q - What is formalism in art?
A - Formalism in art is the study of the basic structure of an artwork and the basic elements of how it was created taking into account compositional aspects such as color, perspective, proportion, value and so on. Formalism does not include the aesthetic, social relevance, social commentary or historical references in an artwork.
